Inspector Certifications

Trained and Experienced

Our inspectors are Certified Professional Inspectors CPI® trained by InterNACHI—the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (www.NACHI.org)—which is the world's largest nonprofit association of residential and commercial property inspectors that provides education, training, and certification.

All InterNACHI-Certified Professional Inspectors CPI® are required to pass an Inspector Exam, follow a comprehensive Standards of Practice, abide by a strict Code of Ethics, and take accredited Continuing Education courses each year in order to maintain their membership in good standing.

In order to become certified, our inspectors were required to take inspection courses related to the interior and exterior of the home, including the common and major areas of concern for home buyers, such as the foundation, heating and cooling, roof, plumbing, and electrical systems. Our inspectors are graduates of the InterNACHI® School, the world's only home inspector college that offers the nationally-accredited Home Inspector Certificate Program.

Buying a home is typically the biggest investment you will ever make, so it's important to get a home inspection because the inspector can find and document defects that may or may not be evident to you.  Such defects can range from simple replacements or repairs to severe damage or safety and health concerns.

About Your Home Inspector

O'Neill Home Inspections LLC was established at the end of 2021 by Alex O'Neill who is the owner and sole inspector. In the fall of 2020, Alex was a student at a branch campus of The Pennsylvania State University when he decided that college was not for him and soon after withdrew from the university. After a few months of working as a tool and die maker/machinist at a local factory Alex decided he was going to pursue a career in home inspection. At the beginning of 2021 he enrolled in the American Home Inspectors Training Institute where he completed his training and became certified. Soon after Alex became a member of InterNACHI where he completed more training to become a Certified Professional Inspector. As time went on Alex became certified to inspect for Wood Destroying organisms and is in the process of gaining more certifications to serve the public with. When Alex is not inspecting houses, he is still employed as a tool and die maker/machinist in a local factory. As an avid hunter and fisherman, Alex is often found outdoors scouting for the next season and enjoying the great outdoors. When not outdoors he is hanging out with family and friends, and enjoys playing music. As a new inspection service, O'Neill Home Inspections is happy and extremely excited to serve the public.
